AI Engineer at Pencil
We’re looking for an AI Engineer.
You’re skilled in data science/ML and software engineering (Python, MySQL, AWS, RabbitMQ)
You want to play a role in building AI technology that will enable the future of creativity
You’ll own, architect, build and deploy a variety of Pencil’s algorithms
Your pay will scale with growth and you’ll have an option on early-employee equity
Starting Q1 2019 based at Block 79, Ayer Rajah Crescent, Singapore 139955
We believe that AI will be as fundamental to creativity in the next 100 years as the pencil was in the last 100. We are building the world’s first creative AI for generating digital content.
Pencil generates compelling original copy and visuals for any message and audience, pre- optimising for business metrics like recall, engagement and conversion. This is revolutionary for industries like advertising, publishing & e-commerce which depend on targeted content that’s slow and expensive to make and A/B test - and that’s before even tackling personalisation.
AI content generation can be fully automated, using a brand’s history and public data from news or social media to pitch products into any cultural context. Generation can also take its cues from human creatives, scaling concepts into whole new classes of personalised, real-time content.
We’re an early stage team from Google and award-winning creative shop Iris Worldwide, venture backed by Wavemaker Partners, Singapore Innovate and Entrepreneur First.
We’re looking for a world-class software engineer with experience in data science and machine learning. You will be responsible for building a variety of algorithms and deploying them to production as user-facing features in our platforms. Your KPIs will be linked to algorithmic effectiveness, feature rollout speed and user satisfaction. This will mean:
Working with leadership (CEO/CTO) to establish feature roadmaps based on vision & need
Building out and managing algorithms and features of our generative AI SaaS platform
We’re not looking for someone who meets a checklist of requirements, but here’s one anyway:
2-5 years experience in back-end software development (Python, MySQL, AWS, RabbitMQ)
1-3 years experience with data science/ML (Python, SKLearn, Tensorflow/Keras/PyTorch)
Excitement about all aspects of data science and machine learning (not just deep learning), specifically curating novel datasets and the practicalities of deploying models in the real world
Let’s move fast and make things.
